No Chicago 2016

Seriously, Rio de Jineiro over Chicago?! All this hype for 4th place? I guess it's only fitting for a city that's home to the Cubs... high expectations with no results. Except in this case, there's no "next year" for Chicago, which really is a shame. We should have had Kanye West go and take the mic away from that stupid French guy...

Chicago is home and I would have it no other way. It's the windy city, and is arguably one of the best sports cities in the world and home to Oprah... dude Oprah is like the Mother Teresa of 3rd world countries... last time I checked Oprah's GDP was higher than all of Brazil. She could have the Olympics in her back yard. Why didn't we have her make a speech to the IOC? Or Michael Jordan? Rio de Jineiro had Pele speak... really?!

Call me a sore loser, but I'm pissed. Chicago obviously deserved the Olympics, and we needed it. It would have done great things for our city, and our country. This one is gonna hurt for awhile, but the people of Chicago should still stay proud of all the great things that our city has to offer. Lake Michigan, the magnificent mile, chicago sports, and deep dish pizza will always be here and that will never change.

Even though we didn't get the Olympics... Chicago is still a world class city and always will be. Chicago probably won't make another bid for the Olympics anytime soon (it cost $48 million just to make the pitch), but I hope I can see them back in the US soon. Chicago 2020?

  2. yeah.. chicago should have gotten the olympics but its defeat is not its fault. The allure of a games in a new continent that the revenue fiasco between the USOC and the IOC put chicago at a disadvantage. i guarantee that if Chicago decides to bid again for 2020 they could most definitely win.
