I've heard great things about this show, not to mention the countless awards it was nominated for... so I ordered discs 1-4. Gotta love netflix. Not gonna lie, I was pretty excited when the little red envelopes came in the mail and I could finally waste more time on another TV show that I don't need to watch.
I'm through 8 episodes of season 1, and have come to my conclusion. This show sucks. and I want my 8 hours back. You might be asking yourselves why I watched 8 episodes if I hated it, but I wanted to give the show a chance... after all it is written and produced from the Soprano's guy and it did win a couple emmy's didn't it?
Every episode I watched and waited for something, anything to happen, but every episode it's another let down. It's a tease with such a great concept. In the end, Mad Men is quite possibly one of the boringest shows and it makes it even worse that it's set in the 50's. It's a great concept, but honestly... I'd rather watch reruns of I love New York. Dom Draper, I'll give it to you... you're a cool dude and I know why everyone says you make this show. You're like the "Vincent Chase" of Mad Men, except you aren't nearly as sweet and you don't hook up with every hot girl on the cast.
Call me ignorant or just plain stupid, but this show sucks. Don't waste your time.
